Members of the Ewing
Police Department organized a branch of the Patrolmen's
Benevolent Association. The group received its
charter from the state organization in October 1952.
A full PBA program including a PAL project for Ewing
children was planned. Charter Members of the unit
pictured above are, seated, Patrolman Raymond O'Rourke,
Captain Clarence Morris, Patrolman James Russell,
president, and Andrew Bellando, financial and recording
secretary; standing, Patrolman James Gallagher Jr.,
Donald Houghton, Calvin Steepy, delegate-at-large and
Walter Williams. Other charter members, absent
when the photo was taken, include: Chief William Forst,
Patrolman Charles Whitehead, treasurer, Patrolman John
Steiner and Patrolman Howard Morris. |
